¿Qué es From Scratch?
From Scratch is a series of open production sessions. A producer starts a track from an empty project and takes it as far as they can in six hours, in front of an audience, without hiding any part of the process.
From Scratch es una serie de sesiones de producción abiertas a todos. Un productor empieza un tema desde un proyecto en blanco y trata de llevarlo lo más lejos posible en seis horas, frente a la audiencia y sin esconder nada del proceso.
Come and go anytime. Stop the artist to ask what they just did, why, or how; that's what they're there for. Suggest ideas, bring a laptop and follow along, or meet other producers. It's laid back, not a classroom.
Entre y salga cuando guste. Interrumpa al artista para preguntar qué hizo, por qué o cómo; para eso está ahí. Puede sugerir ideas, traer su laptop para seguir el proceso o conocer a otros productores. No es una clase y el ambiente es relajado.
There's no presentation and no plan. The artist produces live, usually from an 8-bar loop into the arrangement if time allows. If an idea isn't working, they can start over. If the audience spends all six hours asking questions, that counts too.
